Grunge bands like Nirvana had a big influence on 90s music and fashion. A whole generation of young adults adopted a more carefree fashion sense because of their music.. The key fashion items pervaded by the grunge movement were flannel shirts, combat boots, and ripped jeans .We also noticed that in 1990s street style, simplicity and effortlessly stylish neutral or pastel colours were used quickly.

The 90s saw the infancy of the World Wide Web, which has laid the framework for the digital landscape we live in today. The first MP3 player was introduced in 1998. It introduced a new and effective way to store and listen to music and we later saw the emergence of the iPod, using the MP3 as the foundation of music storage.

The bands of the 2000s have expanded on the legacy of the 90s through the use of digital music and technological breakthroughs, experimenting with new sounds, and fusing elements of many genres.
